Samantha
I’ve taught IB MYP Mathematics for eight years, working mainly with students who need extra help with algebra, functions and geometry. I like to see how a student approaches a problem before stepping in, as this usually shows where the confusion started. Lessons include plenty of worked questions and short practice sets. I also spend time on investigations and showing students how to explain their reasoning properly.

Alexis
English has been my subject for just over six years, with most of my tutoring focused on IB MYP students. I particularly enjoy teaching literary analysis because there is rarely only one sensible way to read a text. We work on making arguments more precise, choosing quotations carefully and improving paragraph structure. I also help students with creative writing and the planning process behind longer written assignments.

Daniel
I’m a Biology teacher with nine years of experience and have spent the last five tutoring IB MYP students privately. Genetics and human physiology are probably my favourite areas to teach. I use diagrams quite a lot, particularly when a textbook explanation feels heavier than it needs to be. For assessments, we practise interpreting unfamiliar data and writing scientific answers that are detailed without becoming unnecessarily long.

Joseph
Before tutoring full-time, I worked in a laboratory, so I tend to bring practical examples into my IB MYP Chemistry lessons. I’ve been teaching the curriculum for seven years and usually work with students on atomic structure, bonding, reactions and quantitative chemistry. I’m quite methodical with calculations and ask students to show every stage of their working. Practical investigations and scientific reports are another regular part of my lessons.

Rachel
Hi, I’m a Physics tutor and former engineer. I’ve worked with IB MYP students for around five years, especially those who understand the theory but get stuck when a question looks unfamiliar. Forces, electricity and energy are the topics I most enjoy teaching. I normally sketch the situation first, talk through what is happening physically, then bring in the equations. We also practise planning investigations and handling experimental data.

Nicole
I’ve been teaching History for eleven years and tutoring IB MYP students alongside my classroom work. My sessions are discussion-heavy because I want students to get used to questioning sources rather than simply accepting what they say. We spend a lot of time on evidence, perspectives and cause and consequence. For written work, I help students turn their ideas into a clear argument and use evidence where it actually supports the point.

Daniel
I’ve taught IB MYP Mathematics for eight years, mainly working with Years 8–10. Algebra and functions are the topics I enjoy most, especially when students need help seeing why a method works rather than simply memorising it. I also spend time on Criterion C communication, since good mathematical reasoning can easily lose marks when the working is unclear.

Jake
Hi, I’m a Biology tutor with four years of experience supporting IB MYP students online. I’m a bit of a genetics enthusiast, so inheritance and DNA usually become some of my favourite lessons. I use diagrams, short retrieval questions and plenty of data-based problems. I’m also happy to go through school investigations and show students how to write stronger scientific conclusions.
